I Haven’t Always Known
I haven’t always known that I was trans*. Yet, because of the heavily reinforced “typical” narratives of transgender in mainstream media, there is an assumption that if you identify as such, you have known so since a very young age.
We all come to these realizations at different times in our lives; there is no certain ripe time interval in which you must figure out your gender identity and have it be set in stone.
